2023 Award Winner
Award Category: Walking for Transport: Supporting South Australians making short trips by walking

City of Charles Sturt

Awarded for your transformation of Jetty Street, Grange in the City of Charles Sturt (CCS) into a walkable community asset. The place is home to a diverse mix of residents, businesses and schools, and attracts a range of visitors throughout the year due its close proximity to the Grange Greenway, the newly established Grange Lakes Corridor, Coast Park and Grange beach. The road reconstruction of Jetty Street including the road re-alignment in preparation for the next 60 years ensures these assets will best accommodate the easy access needs of the community well into the future.
