Walking SA award winner 2018, Department for Environment and Water

The Government of South Australia’s Department for Environment and Water established the Park of the Month program as a means of promoting our national parks in South Australia. Run in conjunction with Nature Play SA, this has been an exciting program focusing on individual parks with an extensive range of activities, including guided walks and family activities tailored to the features of the park for that month.

The parks featured spread across all of South Australia and promote strong engagement with the local community including the specific local Friends of Parks group.

Walking SA has been a keen promoter of the Parks of the Month program and congratulate the Department on this initiative.
