Graham has been involved from the initial vision and concept of the Lavender Federation Trail network, through the formation of the South Australian Recreation Trails Inc (SARTI) group, and then joining their Board. He was key in liaising with the Rural City of Murray Bridge on the initial route planning. He developed the regular ‘Footsteps’ newsletter and website to communicate the trail development and walking information. He sought out grant opportunities and generated grant applications to fund the trail project. Graham’s activity in supporting walking continues to the present, he has recently worked with the NRM in developing a walking and cycling trail network in Kinchina Conservation Park. Currently he is leading volunteers in developing a walking and cycling spur trail from Murray Bridge to Callington. Graham has been and continues to be instrumental in extending quality walking opportunities. He is energetic, persistent and visionary. His enthusiasm has greatly assisted in holding volunteers residing many kilometres apart into a focused and cohesive team.
