At yesterday’s Hiking Expo plenty of people joined one of the 22 guided walks through Belair National Park, and discovered new walking destinations, walking groups and walking gear with the 35 exhibitors. With the passing showers it was pretty wet, but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the many expo visitors, stall holders and event volunteers.
Over coming months watch out for news of other walking events, including:
- our Walktober promotion during October, promoting walking for leisure, health and transport, and
- save the date for our 2019 Hiking Expo on Sunday 14th April 2019!
- and with over 500 walking trails on our website there are always places to go walking, for all styles of walking, seasons and abilities. Find a place to walk.
The event was possible through the many volunteers from our event partners: including the Friends of the Heysen Trail, ARPA Bushwalkers and Heart Foundation Walking. Thanks to the 35 exhibitors for spreading the word about the benefits and opportunities of walking.
Support our work so we can bring more walking events and promote walking by joining as an Individual Member from as little as $22 per year.
