Walking SA Education is offering bushwalking training and accreditation in 2025. This is a new addition to the range of services and support provided by Walking SA for the South Australian walking community. The aim is to provide accessible training and accreditation for volunteers, youth leaders, teachers, personal trainers, support workers, therapists and outdoor educators at the nationally recognised standard.
Training and accreditation will be provided by highly experienced and recognised Bushwalk Guide Assessors. We have commenced recruitment of our pool of assessors to deliver training and assessment in 2025 in the following courses:
- Bushwalk Guide – Foundation
Guide a group based overnight bushwalk in controlled conditions under supervision - Bushwalk Guide
Guide a group based overnight bushwalk
A full suite of accreditation and training programs is planned to be phased in over the next 2 years.
The initiative includes recognition of experience, training and accreditation. It has the support of a range of industry and community organisations, providing an opportunity for all bush walk guides to connect to the Walking SA community.
