Nature’s secrets are waiting to be discovered at every step of the 61 kilometre five-day trek, with the trail weaving its way through the most botanically unique area in all of South Australia before reaching the rugged, remote and spectacular coastline of the Southern Ocean.

SeaLink have a range of new packages to walk the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail by camping along the way or staying in accommodation off the trail and enjoying the luxury of a hot shower and comfortable bed each night. Walk from 2 or 3 days up to the full 5 days – view the 3 packages. The range of experiences means the beauty of the track is open for all to explore. Extend your stay after completing the trail to experience some more of the island’s unique wildlife, mouth watering food and wine and laid-back lifestyle.

Valued from $845 per person. Total prize package valued at $1,690.00.

The prize is for a 3-day 2-night experience on the island. The winner may elect to extend their stay at their own expense. The prize winner may choose to camp on the trail instead, and use the 2 nights accommodation at the start or end of their walk.

Terms & Conditions

To be eligible to win, participants must subscribe to receive emails from Walking SA about walking destinations and opportunities in South Australia. Walking SA and Sealink will handle submitted details in accordance with their privacy policies (Walking SA Privacy Policy, Sealink Privacy Policy). At any point in the future you may update your details or opt out of receiving further communications.

Entries can be submitted online or at one of our events, including the Trails Less Travelled event at Mt Lofty on Sunday 14 October 2018 or the Walking Awards Presentation (public welcome) on Thursday 11 October 2018.

Employees and contractors of Walking SA, Sealink and the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. Employees of exhibitors of the Trails Less Travelled event and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. People volunteering time to staff exhibitor’s stalls at the Trails Less Travelled event and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

Participants can only submit one competition entry. The competition commences at 3:30pm ACDT on Tuesday 9th October 2018 and closes at 1.00pm ACDT on Tuesday 30 October 2018.

The prize cannot be exchanged for another product. The prize is not redeemable for a voucher or cash. Total prizes are valued at $1,690.00.

Travel Terms and Conditions:

Voucher is valid for a standard vehicle up to 5m in length. Prize voucher must be redeemed in exchange for travel and cannot be used in conjunction with other special offers or at peak times including School Holidays, KI Cup Weekend, Easter, Public Holidays, or from 15th to 31st December 2018.
The voucher is valid for services listed only and all services are subject to availability at the time of booking. This voucher cannot be extended and if lost, cannot be replaced. The winner will be randomly selected by a Walking SA representative, and will be drawn at 2.00pm ACDT on Tuesday 30th October 2018. Walking SA’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

The winner will be announced and notified by phone and/or email. The winner agrees to make themselves available for a publicity opportunity at the discretion of Walking SA for a period of 21 days after the collection of prizes. Entrants agree to make their entries available for educational and marketing opportunities at the discretion of Walking SA.
