Black Springs Well Hike

About the Walking Trail

This trail follows the coast around the headland overlooking sheltered Port Douglas. The trail starts from the Black Springs camping area. The start of the trail isn’t immediately obvious, it starts at the end of the campsite, between campsites #3 and #2. The trail here looks indiscernible but is soon easily followed. The trail ends at an old hand-pump well (which still works) which is the Black Springs.

The National Parks website notes this trail is 2km long, but the full loop is actually 3km long.
