Discover a vibrant cafe culture while enjoying a self-guided walk around the eclectic collection of public artworks and murals around the City of Prospect.

The public art includes some of Australia’s most outstanding artists, and features a South Australian collection unmatched in the state dating back to the 1970s. This self-guided walk can be done in sections or areas of the 46 outdoor public artworks. When planning your walk, consider the following:

1. The whole route is about 14km in length, but does include some lengthy sections between art pieces. To make the walk a circuit, walking from the last point #44 back to the first point at #1 would add about 1.5km
2. Reducing the walk just to the art pieces along Prospect Road would make about a 3-4km walk.
3. The art pieces are not numbered, the numbers in the interactive map a merely a suggested order.
4. You can shorten the walk by skipping #8 (Wedding-Marchioro Lorry “Banding Together”) through to #15 (Simpson Ella “To Remember is to Strive for Peace”) would reduce the walk to about 10km.

The City of Prospect also boasts where Stobie pole art began in SA and has some of the first murals ever created in SA.
