A project by the City of Charles Sturt to construct a shared path for pedestrians and cyclists between the lake in West Lakes and the River Torrens Linear Trail. The northern trailhead is on Trimmer Parade, near Inlet Reserve and the southern part of the lake at West Lakes.

  • Construction started in 2014
  • As at mid 2017 Stage 1-3 and 5-6 have been completed (refer to map)
  • Planning for Stage 4 is underway, and currently trail users could follow the current narrow path and suburban street to bridge the gap between the two longer completed sections
  • The two southern stages between Marlborough Street and the junction with the River Torrens Linear Trail be built in the future

The shared path is 2.5 metre wide, providing an safe all-weather an accessible off-road route for a variety of users including bicycle riders, young school children, parents with prams, grandparents and the mobility impaired. The path includes public lighting.
