About the Walking Trail
The Community Walking Trail path winds through grassland with low shrubs and has great views of the surrounding area. This walk and exercise trail is established on the eastern side of Hawker. You can sit on a bench and take in the views or stop and exercise on one of the pieces of equipment along the trail.
The full 1.4km circuit could be done in either of two shorter halves: the southern half as a 700m circuit, or the northern half as a 900m circuit.
Start the walk from:
- Chace View Terrace at corner with Wirreanda Terrace or
- Chace View Terrace at corner with Rawnsley Street or
- Flinders Ranges Way (Wilpena Road) or
- Druid Range Drive or
- from the south eastern corner of the Hawker Caravan Park
The trail was established from grants received by the Healthy and Active Committee of Hawker and funds raised.
