About the Walking Trail
Follow fire tracks and hike past Big Dip Lake and out to the edge of Lake Eliza, looping around with views of Woakwine Range.
Discover some of the salt-tolerant vegetation around the lake. The water levels of the park’s lakes vary seasonally with the rainfall. Some years much of the lake bed is exposed to the air, other times the lake is full of water, providing waterbirds with ideal breeding conditions.
The hike is longer than the nearby Fresh Water Lake Walk. If you were to do only one of these two walks, we’d recommend the Fresh Water Lake Walk as the vegetation around that lake is denser and more scenic, whilst the vegetation here is much more open.
The trail begins from Nora Creina Road, 13.7km from the start of the road off of a junction of Main Road. The trailhead begins just north of a pull-over Information Bay, just short of the Errington Hole Track turnoff.
