About the Walking Trail

Mt Barker Summit Reserve is one of the district’s most important conservation areas protectiong valuable biodiversity, including some of the region’s most threatened plants and animals. A treasured place of historical, geological and cultural significance, and of central importance to the Peramangk and Njarrindjerri people.
The carpark gate on Mt Summit Road is locked before dusk every night.
