About the Walking Trail
Take a short walk along The Orchid Track in Padthaway Conservation Park. This 1.7km loop walk takes you through a range of remnant native vegetation that has adapted to the harsh Australian environment and poor soils of this ancient sand dune system upon which this area was built.
Keep an eye out for orchids and koalas and marvel at the sights and sounds of birdlife or enjoy a picnic beneath the shade of the gums trees.
Grab the trail brochure and watch out for yellow posts along the way that relate to the trail brochure.
Start from the carpark on Beeamma-Parsons Rd.
Extend the walk
Extend the walk by taking in one of these:
- The Currawong Loop (adds another 3.0km to be 4.7km total)
- The Banksia Loop (adds another 4.7km to be 6.1km total)
- An extended hike through the park (total 14.5km)
