About the Walking Trail
A series of walking trails on the northern side of Port Vincent, it’s easy to make them into a loop, forms part of the Walk the Yorke trail.
Begin in central Port Vincent, on the foreshore, or one of the trailheads on Marina Parade. The trail through gully at the start of the Alan Powell Walking Trail are a hidden oasis, which leads to cliff top walking to the steps north of the marina. Return along the walking trail beneath the cliff, passing granite boulders deposited by moving ice sheets 2.7 million years ago.
Trailheads include on Marine Parade, near house number 55 in the marina, or the parklands near house number 115 (also the start of the Alan Powell Walking Trail).
Extend this Hike
Continue along the Walk the Yorke Trail (all marked with yellow markers) to the northern edge of the golf course, or beyond to Sheaoak Flat or Port Julia.
