About the Walking Trail
Enjoy a wander through Marino Conservation Park on the Botanical Trail, which meanders through coastal heath to the Marino Rocks Lighthouse. There are views up the coast to Brighton and Holdfast Bay, and south to Port Stanvac, as well as views to the city skyline.
Begin the hike from carpark at the end of Nimboya Road, Marino.
In late 2020, a section of the existing Botanical Trail leading to an upgraded lookout area had been widened and hardened for improved access for people with mobility issues, making it accessible to some power wheelchair users. New seating has been installed at the lookout area so wheelchair users and other visitors can sit and enjoy the expansive coastal views of the Gulf St Vincent and northward over Holdfast Bay. Watch a video to see the park’s new and improved facilities.
Although this walk is marked as being Wheelchair Accessible, some people may require assistance.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service SA Accessibility webpage has useful information about accessibility within national parks, including specific details about accessible parks, trails, picnic grounds, carparking and toilets.
