The Explorers Trail, Crystal Brook

About the Historical walk

Walk down Bowman Street in central Crystal Brook to learn about the early explorers that made their way across Australia, how their transport evolved from through to modern day exploration of space.

The Bowman Street theme of sculptures and plaques is dedicated to all explorers. The focus is on how they were able to cross some of Australia’s most inhospitable land.

Early European explorer, John Edward Eyre, passed through the region where the town is today in May 1839. He named the town Crystal Brook after the sparkling clear water of the stream located here.
