About the Walking Trail
There are numerous walking trails at Thorndon Park that loop around the lake. Walking trails take you throughout this photographic location and past unique attractions like the water tower, natural wetlands, and a giant chess board. It easy to make a couple of different loops of the park and lake.
The park includes ducks, reed beds, interpretive signs, grassed areas, picnic and bbq areas and a playground. The playground includes a liberty disabled swing.
A small heritage museum is now open each weekend adjacent to the kiosk. Both the kiosk and museum are proudly operated by the Rotary Club of Morialta.
Thorndon Park is open to the general public at all hours. Please note, dogs are prohibited in the park at all times. The car park is locked between the hours of sunset and sunrise each day.
