Watercourse Hike, Scott Conservation Park

About the Walking Trail

Explore the Scott Conservation Park on the Watercourse Hike. The trail is shorter than the Orchid Hike. The Watercourse Hike is a circuit through the forest, along a walking trail, fire track and then return along the dirt road.

There is often plenty of kangaroos to be seen. Keep a watch out for the many native orchid wildflowers, including the Mosquito Orchid, Narrow-lipped Spider-Orchid and the Dwarf Green-hood Orchid.

Scott Conservation Park is a small park near Ashbourne and Currency Creek. The forest provides a habitat for Western Grey Kangaroos, Ringtail Possums and Western Pgymy Possums. (Scott Conservation Park is not to be confused with Scott Creek Conservation Park.)

You can begin the hike from the north-eastern carpark on Gould Road.
