About the Walking Trail
The Wetland Walking Trail at Berri was renamed the Lion Allan Thurmer Recreational Trail in 2012, but is also known as the Lions Club of Berri Wetland Walking Trail. The trail is located in Martin Bend Reserve.
The trail departs from the boat ramp at the marina, walking out to Martins Bend along a shared-use trail.
The trail is named after Allan Thurmer, who was instrumental in leading the Lions Club to develop and extend the trail from the 1970s, establishing it as a loop in 2003.
