About the Walking Trail
The Wine Shanty Hike is a 4 hour 10km loop bushwalk through Cleland National Park. A hike through stringybark forest, the trail combines some steep climbs with gentler sections. Hike past Keirs Ruin, an old farm house abandoned in the 1900s. Watch out for koalas, echidnas, kangaroos and bandicoots as you follow these tracks through the forest.

The loop can be accessed from several places:
- Gate 5, Pillbox Track, Mt Lofty Summit Road, Cleland. There is a very small parking area here, or a much larger parking space some 100m north of this gate
- Gate at Bus Stop 18 on Greenhill Road
- Gate 3, Yerrang Track, Mt Lofty Summit Road, Cleland, opposite Sprigg Road. There is a small parking area here.
Extend this Hike
- When you reach Lodge Track, walk to Mt Lofty summit, and return to the main Wine Shanty Hike via the Hartford Trail
