Experience Mount Lofty Botanic Garden iconic Rhododendron Gully in its magnificent glory. Boasting one of Australia’s best Rhododendron collections, containing at least 150 species, with several threatened in the wild.
Come and learn from the Botanic Gardens expert on Rhododendrons, Robert Hatcher and learn about the plants’ history, botanical classification and the conservation importance of several threatened species.
The session will involve walking through hilly terrain and appropriate footwear (closed shoes, no sandals) and an ability to walk distances is a must.
This event is part of the Nature Festival from 25 September to 4 October 2021. With over two hundred events for all ages, the Nature Festival is back for our second year and full of creative ways to connect with nature and each other.
