Wittunga Botanic Gardens and Magpie Creek Walk (Meetup group: Loving Adelaide)

Saturday 12 October 2019

10:00am to 12:00pm

A Meetup group: Loving Adelaide

SPRING IS HERE and we’re experiencing glorious weather so let’s go for an adventure around Blackwood and Coromandel Valley. We will head towards Magpie Creek, see the spring plants in full bloom at the Wittunga Botanic Gardens and weave out way around over bridges and across railway lines.

WITTUNGA BOTANIC GARDEN
Contrasting against suburban Blackwood, the 13-hectare Wittunga Botanic Garden is a hidden oasis. Discover the extensive collection of water-wise plants from Australia and South Africa, brilliant displays of Ericas and Proteas in spring and an extensive collection of plants from Kangaroo Island and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Visit the enticing Butterfly Garden. See a huge variety of native bird and animal life that are attracted to the indigenous flora.
