We'd like to understand a bit more about your thoughts on new features we could be developing.

34. We'll be designing a fresh aesthetic so the website looks better and works better on all devices. We'll also be making the website Accessible to all website visitors, including for visitors with visual and other impairments.

We’ve had plenty of ideas of new features we could include on a new website. We’ve listed some, how much would you value these features?

34.1: The ability to provide feedback, review, and rate walk entries.

34.2: The ability to report an issue with a walk entry (either accessing the trail, or an issue with the trail information on our website)

34.3: View a clear statement of who manages the trail and how to contact them (eg National Parks and Wildlife Service of SA, Forestry SA, a particular local council)

34.4: The ability to save a personal collection of walk entries, and perhaps share that entry with others via social media, chat or email

34.5: As feature above (ability to save a personal collection of walk entries) but categorize them with labels like “Done”, “Want to Do” or “Favourite”

34.6: The ability to compare 2-3 chosen walk entries

34.7: An understanding of which First Nation Country/Countries you are walking on when walking on a trail

34.8: The ability to download walk descriptions and maps into a printable PDF

34.9: View the clear starting point/s of a trail

34.10: Improve the getting-there directions to enable better understanding of how far you need to travel to reach the start of the walk a trail

34.11: Include directions to access the trail by public transport (where public transport is practical)

34.12: See the date trail information was published, and date it was updated or last verified

34.13: Easily filter loop and circuit walks, or one-way walks

34.14: Easy way to find walks near a particular metropolitan suburb

34.15: Easy way to find walks near a particular town or rural city

34.16: The ability to filter for trails that are also bike friendly (for riding, or for having kids on bikes join you walking)

34.17: The ability to easily find related walk entries (by location, type of walk ie suitable for dogs or bikes, accessible by public transport)

34.18: Participate in leaderboards where you can enter times on, for a specific walk and qualification, ie “A Trail each of the Top 20 National Parks”, “All the Trails in Park X or Location X”, “Quickest time on Trail X”, “A Trail from the North, South, East West of X”, “A Trail Beginning with Every Letter of the Alphabet, ie Aaron Creek Circuit Hike, Babbler Loop, Cape Spencer Lighthouse Walk, D, E, F etc, nominate your own walk for each letter)

34.19: Resources for bushwalkers (such as safety tips packing lists for walks, and training pathways for skills like navigation)

34.20: Resources for ways to improve urban walkability (such as case studies and success stories on improvements in local government areas)
